How to add or authenticate your phone number

To redeem rewards or secure your account, you may be asked to authenticate your phone number.

1. Open the SmartNews app and go to the Profile tab.
2. Tap the Settings (gear) icon in the top right corner.
3. Under Account, tap Manage Phone Number.
4. Follow the on-screen prompts to enter your mobile number and enter the verification code sent via SMS.

How to remove your phone number
If you need to de-authenticate or remove a number from your account:

Open the SmartNews app and go to the Profile tab.

1. Tap the Settings (gear) icon in the top right corner.
2. Select Account.
3. Tap Manage Phone Number.
4. Find the phone number section and select De-authenticate.

Please note that you must have a verified phone number linked to your account to redeem gift cards. This authentication step is required to ensure secure delivery of your points and rewards.
