The layout of the app header can change depending on your scrolling activity or active feed view. If you cannot see your profile option in its usual spot, please follow these quick instructions to reveal it.
How to Reveal Your Profile Tab
To find your profile details, settings, and account history, use the following action steps:
Check the Bottom Navigation Bar: Look for the profile tab in the bottom bar, or drag down on the top channel tab to make the top section appear (with the search bar and Profile icon).
The Quick Reveal Drag: If you are currently browsing an individual news channel and the top menu disappears, place your finger near the top of the screen and drag down anywhere on the active channel feed. This action will force the hidden header area to slide down, displaying the profile icon directly next to the search bar.
Still Cannot Find the Profile Icon?
If dragging down on your channel tab fails to reveal the search bar and profile icon, run through these quick display fixes:
Force-Close the App: Fully shut down SmartNews from your mobile device's active background multitasking menu and reopen it to reload the user interface layout.
Verify App Updates: Go to the App Store or Google Play Store and ensure you are running the most recent version of SmartNews. An outdated application build can occasionally cause structural interface items to misalign.
Verify Your Device Compatibility: Ensure your smartphone or tablet meets our operational baseline software requirements (iOS 17.0 or above / Android 9.0 or above).

Tap the Settings (gear) icon in the top right corner. Scroll all the way to the bottom and long-press (hold down) on the version information. This will allow you to copy a unique code.
