The Rewards program (also known as Daily Missions or SmartNews Points) is a mobile-only feature. If the tab has suddenly disappeared or is not visible on your device, please review the requirements and troubleshooting steps below to restore it.
1. Check Core Requirements
Before troubleshooting, ensure your device and location meet the eligibility criteria for the program:
Operating System Requirements: Your device must meet our minimum OS requirements to run the latest version of the app. Your device must be on iOS 17.0 and above or Android 9.0 and above. If your device is on an older operating system, please update your phone's software first.
2. Perform a Clean Reinstallation
If you meet the requirements above but the tab is still missing, a corrupted app cache or a minor installation glitch is likely responsible. Please completely reinstall the app using the specific instructions for your device type below.
For iOS (iPhone/iPad) Users
Go to your device's home screen, press and hold the SmartNews icon, and select Delete App to remove it.
Open the App Store.
Type SmartNews into the search bar.
Tap the cloud download icon to perform a fresh installation.
Launch the app and log back into your account.
For Android Users
Press and hold the SmartNews app icon on your screen, then tap App Info (or navigate to your phone's system Settings → Apps → SmartNews).
Tap Uninstall and confirm to remove the app.
Open the Google Play Store.
Search for SmartNews and tap Install.
Launch the app and log back into your account.

How to locate and copy your Device Token:
Open SmartNews and look for the profile tab in the bottom bar, or drag down on the top channel tab to make the top section appear (with the search bar and Profile icon).
Tap the Settings (gear) icon in the top right corner. Scroll all the way to the bottom and long-press (hold down) on the version information. This will allow you to copy a unique code.
